Honours Chemical Biology

This program is all about understanding chemistry in order to be able to apply it to living systems. The goal is to manipulate biological systems to better understand or improve functions to complex issues. Applications include pharmaceuticals, structural biology, medicinal chemistry and many more. Co-op is available starting in third year.

The key difference between biochemistry and chemical biology is that chemical biology takes a bottom-up instead of a top-down approach -> how can we use chemistry to change biological systems?
